Cloud & DevOps services

Apoliums sets up and runs the path from code to production, so a deploy is a routine event instead of an evening.

Pipelines that test every change, infrastructure written as code, containers that run the same everywhere, and monitoring that tells a person before it tells a customer. On AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or wherever your software already lives.

What we do

What does Apoliums handle in Cloud and DevOps?

Most engagements start with one of these and grow into the rest once the first one is running.

CI/CD pipelines

Every push is built, tested and checked the same way, and a release is one approved step rather than a checklist someone runs from memory.

  • Tests, types and linting on every pull request
  • Preview environments per branch
  • Database migrations gated before they reach production

Infrastructure as code

Servers, networks, databases and permissions are written down in the repository, so any environment can be rebuilt, reviewed and audited.

  • Terraform or Pulumi, reviewed like application code
  • Identical staging and production
  • Least-privilege access and secrets kept out of the codebase

Containers and orchestration

The same artefact runs on a laptop, in staging and in production. Orchestration is added when the load calls for it, not because a diagram looks better with it.

  • Multi-stage Docker images
  • Kubernetes, ECS or Cloud Run, sized to the workload
  • Autoscaling with limits that protect the bill

Monitoring and on-call

Logs, metrics and traces go in with the first release, with alerts that reach a person and a runbook that tells them what to do.

  • Dashboards for errors, latency and saturation
  • Alerts routed to the right person, not a shared inbox
  • Runbooks for the incidents most likely to happen

Cloud migration

Moving off a single server, a shared host or another cloud is planned service by service, rehearsed against a copy, and cut over with a way back.

  • Read-only audit of what runs today
  • Data migration rehearsed before the cutover
  • Rollback plan written before the first move

Cost and security reviews

A line-by-line look at what the cloud bill pays for, and at who can reach what, with the fixes ranked by saving and by risk.

  • Idle and oversized resources found and right-sized
  • Backups tested by restoring them
  • Access, network and secret handling reviewed

How we work

How does a cloud project run, audit to handover?

Nothing is moved before it is mapped, and nothing is cut over without a way back.

  1. Step 01 / 05

    Audit what runs today

We map every service, database, domain, account and manual step involved in shipping and running your software, before changing anything.

    Infrastructure map and risk list

  2. Step 02 / 05

    Agree the target

Which cloud, which services, how environments are split, what gets automated first, and what it will cost to run each month.

Written plan with a monthly cost estimate

  3. Step 03 / 05

    Codify and automate

Infrastructure goes into code, pipelines go into the repository, and staging is rebuilt from scratch to prove nothing depends on memory.

Pipelines and infrastructure in your repo

  4. Step 04 / 05

    Move and verify

Services move one at a time with monitoring in place first, so each step is measured against the old setup before the next one starts.

Production running on the new setup

  5. Step 05 / 05

    Hand over or run it

You get the runbook, the alert configuration and a handover session, or we keep running it on a monthly retainer with an agreed response window.

Questions

Cloud and DevOps, answered.

What do Cloud and DevOps services include?

Apoliums sets up and runs the path from code to production: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containers, monitoring and alerting, backups, and cloud migration. The aim is that a deploy is a routine, reversible event, and that problems are found by an alert rather than by a customer.

Which cloud providers does Apoliums work with?

AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, plus platforms such as Vercel, DigitalOcean and Cloudflare. If you already run on one of them, we work there. If you are choosing, we recommend one in writing based on your region, compliance needs, team skills and expected monthly cost.

Can Apoliums take over infrastructure someone else set up?

Yes. Takeovers start with a read-only audit of every service, account, secret and manual step involved. You get a map of what you own and a ranked list of risks before anything is changed.

Changes then happen one service at a time, with monitoring in place first, so nothing is moved that cannot be moved back.

Can you reduce our cloud bill?

Usually. A cost review finds idle resources, oversized instances, unused storage and data transfer that does not need to happen, and ranks each fix by saving and by risk. Nothing is switched off without your sign-off.

Who owns the cloud accounts and the pipelines?

You do. Cloud accounts, repositories, domains and secrets sit in your organisation from day one. The infrastructure code and pipelines live in your repository, so another team can pick them up without us.

Next step

Tell us how you ship today, we will map the rest.

Describe where your software runs, how it gets deployed and what keeps going wrong. Apoliums replies with what we would fix first and what it would take.
