What was the problem?
Care4parents delivers eldercare inside India to families whose children frequently live overseas. The service itself, home visits, diagnostics, hospital assistance, medicine delivery, already worked. What did not exist was anything that let the family paying for it see what had been done, or watch a parent's health move over months.
- Vital readings taken at home, blood pressure, blood sugar, SpO2, temperature, ECG, had to land somewhere a relative could read them, not on a paper card left in the house.
- The people paying were usually in a different time zone from the people being cared for, so the record had to be legible with nobody available to explain it.
- Care was sold as bundled plans with paid add-ons on top, so booking and billing had to handle a package and a one-off in the same flow.
- A carer capturing vitals at a doorstep cannot depend on a good connection, or on the elder having an account of their own.
