What was the problem?
Most fitness apps hand out the same plan to everyone and forget what happened last week. A coach worth paying for knows the knee you hurt in March, the equipment in your garage and that you plateaued on deadlifts. The product had to carry that memory and act on it in every session.
- A plan has to be generated from goals, equipment, schedule and injuries, then change as the athlete does.
- Form feedback needs to happen on the phone, in real time, without sending video to a server.
- Personal trainers wanted to sell sessions inside the app, which means bookings, payments and chat.
- The memory has to be reliable: a forgotten injury is a safety problem, not a bug.
